My laptop at work has Windows 8 installed. And I’ve found out that NetApp OnCommand System Manager 2.0.2 works incorrectly in Internet Explorer 10. When you click ‘edit’ on aggregates or snapmirrors it shows empty gray box which you can’t get rid of.
Solution is simple, go to Tools -> Options in System Manager (top left corner) and change ‘Browser Path’ from ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe’ to something like ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe’.

As a matter of fact, all enterprise management software is written for IE. So it’s the exception rather than the rule.

I can’t say thanks enough, I should know by now the solution to IE is to not use it no matter what.

Ah – this was annoying. Thanks for posting the tip – I had never noticed the “Tools” menu, at all.

All enterprise management software was written for IE back in the day, IE 7 broke plenty, 10 and 11 are continuing the tradition.
